About the Program…

On April 8th, we will experience the last Total Solar Eclipse in the United States until the year 2044. In this program, lecturer Michael Sibbernsen will take the audience on a journey of discovery, exploring the importance and rarity of this phenomenon as well as some of the scientific experiments taking place during the eclipse. All participants will receive a FREE pair of Solar Eclipse Glasses.

For the evening event on the 21st, join Michael after the program down on the waterfront, offering a telescopic look at the beautiful Waxing Crescent Moon, the Planet Jupiter, and electronically enhanced views of Galaxies, Nebulae, and Star Clusters.

For the daytime event on the 24th, before and after the lecture, the Luminarium Educators will have awesome Eclipse and Moon Phase activities for the kids, and SAFE solar viewing outside for everyone.

The presentation is suitable for all ages.
