Open to the general public- FREE ADMISSION! Join us for another session of our popular Silent Book Club! This month, we will be meeting in the Miller Astrophotography Research Center (the double-dome building), or if the weather is nice, you are welcome to read outside.

Bring your book (or ebook or audiobook with earbuds) and read quietly for an hour. Or grab a book from our wonderful astronomy library! No pressure, no book assignments, no book report…a stress-free opportunity to read under the evening sky. We will have coffee and water on hand, but feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks. You are also encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and pillow.

After our silent reading time, you are invited to head to the Multipurpose Center for a special video presentation “Defending the Dark”. This presentation is free, but we request that you sign up fort tickets if you are interested.
