60 to 70 student and parents from the Lincoln chapters of the Catholic Schoolhouse homeschool organization will be visiting for astronomy programming.

Students will be broken into 3 groups and listen to a 1) What’s Up in the Winter Sky? Presentation, 2) Take a Tour of the Observatory, learn about telescopes, and safely Observe the Sun. [A short outdoor meteorite presentation will take the place of the solar viewing if cloudy. 3) Outdoor art activity building planispheres and sundials. The three groups will rotate.

9am – 9:15. Welcomes, lunch organization, bathroom visits, and breaking into groups.

9:15 – 10:00. Groups 1,2,3

10:10 – 11:00. Groups 3,1,2

11:10 – 11:30. LUNCH. Groups  1 & 2 inside. Group 3 Outside.

11:40 – 12:25. Groups 2,3,1

12:30 Depart.
