Late Night Lunacy at Branched Oak Observatory!
March 13 @ 11:00 PM - March 14 @ 3:00 AM
Why sleep when the universe is putting on a show? Join us at Branched Oak Observatory for an unforgettable night under the stars, where we’ll trade yawns for gasps of wonder!
What’s Happening?
- A Total Lunar Eclipse—the Moon slips into Earth’s shadow, turning a deep, otherworldly red.
11:00 PM: Arrive and settle in.
Midnight: The Moon enters Earth’s shadow.
1:27 AM: Totality begins—prepare to be awestruck!
2:33 AM: Totality ends, but the magic continues. - Deep Space Exploration: Peer through our powerful telescopes and gaze at distant galaxies, shimmering star clusters, and colorful nebulae.
Why Stay Up Late?
Because this is one of the most awe-inspiring events the cosmos has to offer! You’ll get the chance to soak in the beauty of the universe while swapping stories (and snacks) with fellow night owls.
Need a Boost?
Hot cocoa and coffee will be available to keep you wide-eyed and ready for the celestial splendor.
Stay for the Whole Eclipse!
We’ll wrap up at 3 AM, but feel free to stay until the Moon fully escapes Earth’s (Umbra) shadow about an hour later.
This is a night for dreamers, stargazers, and all those who dare to defy bedtime in the name of wonder. Bring a blanket, dress warmly, and join us for some Late Night Lunacy!
