Lecturer Michael Sibbernsen will present a 30-min version of his “Beyond the Shadow: Exploring the Great American Eclipse of 2024” program for the Nebraska Department of Education’s “StayConnected” webinar program. This program, and other StayConnected webinars, are for afterschool program leaders and staff.
About the Program…
On April 8th, we will experience the last Total Solar Eclipse in the United States until the year 2044. In this program, lecturer Michael Sibbernsen will explore the importance and rarity of this phenomenon as well as some techniques, demonstrations, and activities, that teachers can take into their classrooms.
Participants will have the chance to receive Solar Eclipse Glasses and other teaching materials through the mail for use in their classrooms.
