SUMMARY:Orbital Odyssey - Cycling Event and Star Party
DESCRIPTION:https://www.orbitalodyssey.com/ \nThe Orbital Odyssey is a groundbreaking gravel cycling event inspired by the “Backyard” Ultra format\, where endurance meets strategy. Riders will complete a ~12-mile circuit every hour\, on the hour\, with no set distance to finish or time limit—just the relentless push to outlast the competition. The race continues as long as two or more riders remain\, and only one will emerge victorious by completing the final lap. Join us for this ultimate test of endurance! \nBranched Oak Observatory will be the “Base Station” for this remarkable event. Rider families and the general public are invited to Branched Oak Observatory to root for your favorite rider AND take part in various astronomy related daytime activities. Once the Sun sets… stay for the Orbital Odyssey Star Party! The evening star party will begin around 8:30PM. \nRegistration and a Registration FEE is required for bike riders\, but the public activities at Branched Oak Observatory require NO SIGN-UP and are FREE OF CHARGE.
