DESCRIPTION:Michael Sibbernsen\, the Merit Badge Counselor for Branched Oak Observatory\, will be teaching his  Astronomy Merit Badge Program at the Scouting America Mid-America Council “Merit Badge College” on March 1st. There will be two sessions held at the R Joe Dennis Learning Center\, Bellevue University (1004 Bruin Blvd. Bellevue\, Nebraska 68005) from 8:30am – noon\, and 1pm – 4:30pm. \nVolunteers Currently Verified- Michael Sibbernsen. No other volunteers are required\, but if you would like to join\, please do! Contact Michael about volunteering.

DESCRIPTION:Event CANCELED due to storm damage from the March 19th Blizzard \nDo you have a love of the night sky? Are you interested in creating unique opportunities for your community? \nWe need YOU! \nRegardless of your experience in astronomy\, Branched Oak Observatory can certainly use your help! From operating telescopes and pointing out constellations during our Star Parties\, to construction projects and groundskeeping between events\, we are always looking for dynamic volunteers with diverse experiential backgrounds. \nOn Saturday\, March 22nd\, we invite you and any interested family members to join us for a special pizza party and orientation for prospective volunteers. You are under no obligation. \nWe can’t wait to meet and learn about YOU! \nSo we know how much pizza to order: Please send a quick note to education@branchedoakobservatory.com  to let us know you will be coming. \nAdvanced Training later in the evening.
